Key Responsibilities Engage with students in grades K-8 to develop their mathematics and/or literacy skills through targeted tutoring sessions. Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, using provided tools to inform instruction and drive student growth. Communicate effectively with site coordinators to ensure seamless coordination and optimal learning experiences for students. Participate in coaching sessions with instructional coaches to refine your teaching practices and stay updated on best practices. Foster a positive and asset-based approach in your work with students, promoting a growth mindset and celebrating individual strengths. Collaborate with fellow tutors and site staff to share knowledge, resources, and expertise, driving collective impact. Complete all required training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements: Experience working with young children, preferably in a teaching or learning capacity. A valid New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form). Proficiency in Google suite functions, including Google Sheets and Forms. Strong professional skills, including attention to detail, timely communication, and job preparedness. Reliable transportation to travel to designated tutoring sites. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications can enhance your application: A genuine passion for working with young children and a desire to make a positive impact on their educational journey. Teaching certification or relevant experience in education. Experience with data-driven instruction and using formative and summative data to inform teaching practices. Our program runs for 24 weeks, with 3-day per week sessions, 3 hours per day, and a maximum of 13 hours per week.
