**Experienced Pharmacy Technician – Patient-Centric Care and Data Entry Specialist**

Pharmacy Code of Conduct. * Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including: + Using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records. + Filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets. + Verifying medication is accurate and checking for potential interactions. + Assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow. * Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program. * Strictly adhere to the blithequark Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities. * Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle coins as required. * Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding merchandise. * Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. * Method (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager. * Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs. * Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed but not obtained), order errors or broken goods related to Rx capsules. * May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required. * Assist the Pharmacy Manager and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities. **Education & Personal Development** * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the unique PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. * Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by the manager and acquire continuing education credits. * Maintain expertise and knowledge in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments. * Through completion of the blithequark pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE). **Basic Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). **Preferred Qualifications** * Choose six months of experience in a retail environment. * Choose to have previous work experience with blithequark. * Decide on desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medicines. * Decide on correct computer skills. * Decide on knowledge of store inventory management. * Prefer PTCB certification. **Work Environment & Company Culture** blithequark is committed to providing a dynamic and patient-centric work environment.
