**Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – Strategic Growth and Carrier Management**

As an Ocean Product Development Specialist, you'll work closely with our MD of Ocean and other cross-functional teams to execute strategies that maximize competitiveness, enhance service quality, and achieve volume targets. Your expertise in carrier development, pricing, and performance analysis will be instrumental in driving business success and promoting our ocean product. **Key Responsibilities:** * Execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product * Work closely with the MD of Ocean to develop and implement pricing programs, review volume targets, and analyze carrier service, routings, and performance * Support sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert, providing guidance and expertise to ensure compliance with policies and procedures * Communicate strategies, market conditions, and direction to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and operations teams * Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded * Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity * Work with the MD of Ocean and regional ocean management team to promote the ocean product and support sales and operations as needed * Manage annual budget, control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets * Collaborate with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., logistics, supply chain management, business administration) * At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing * Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus * Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree or higher in a related field * Experience in a leadership or management role * Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP) * Fluency in multiple languages **Skills and Competencies:** * Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Strong analytical and technical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills * Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Familiarity with ocean freight forwarding industry trends and best practices **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
