Job Overview The Data Entry and Remediation Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the company's data remediation needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data, reviewing and verifying information, and utilizing Excel for data remediation. This is a remote position, offering a unique opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home while being part of a talented and dedicated team. Key Responsibilities Perform alphanumeric data entry from raw data, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Compare data with source documents, re-enter data in verification format to detect errors, and correct any discrepancies Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered, maintaining a high level of quality and precision Utilize Excel for data remediation, leveraging formulas, functions, and data analysis tools to drive insights and inform decision-making Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing delays Maintain logs of activities and completed work, providing transparency and accountability Read source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, or bills, and enter data in specific data fields, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial data and terminology Meet production targets, working efficiently and effectively to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate 10-key skills, familiarity with spreadsheets and database software, and a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the role Essential Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have: At least 2 years of experience in data entry, data remediation, or a related field, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency Experience working with Excel, including data analysis, formulas, and functions, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team No degree is required, but relevant certifications or training in data entry, data analysis, or a related field are highly desirable Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in the financial industry, with a strong understanding of financial data and terminology Familiarity with data remediation software and tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive insights and inform decision-making Experience working in a remote environment, with a strong ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
