About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Customer Service Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity, based in Cincinnati, OH. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and collection activities, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support throughout their financial journey. Job Summary The Customer Service Specialist will perform a wide range of customer service and collection duties, utilizing their knowledge of all areas of Patient Financial Services to resolve patient inquiries, post payments, set up payment plans, and research and resolve account issues. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to provide empathetic and professional support to our patients, while also meeting collection goals and partnering with other departments to resolve customer service issues. Key Responsibilities Answer patient questions regarding statements, payments, and account balances Post guarantor payments and set up payment plans within established policies Research and resolve issues with accounts identified by patients Reach out to appropriate departments to resolve patient requests Connect patients with the financial counseling department for charity screening Communicate patient balances and provide excellent customer service Meet collection goals as set by the department Partner with other areas of blithequark and Revenue Cycle to resolve customer service issues Perform other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 1-2 years of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a customer-facing role High School Diploma or GED Critical thinking and problem-resolution skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Experience in physician and hospital operations, compliance, and provider relations Customer Service and Call Center experience Certification in revenue cycle management or a related field (e.g., CRCR) Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
