Job Summary Under the guidance of our experienced supervisors, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders, managing incoming customer calls, and providing exceptional support to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry in a timely and efficient manner. Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales), ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Influence blithequark's gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price within established parameters, while maintaining a customer-centric approach. Adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet the demands of the customer based on competition, while maximizing profit for blithequark. Build strong customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer, understanding their needs, and driving process improvements. Order items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for customers, and source products from branch inventory, distribution center inventory, or supplier inventory as needed. Determine the most cost-effective shipping method for customer orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction, and expedites backorders as required. Handle customer returns, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will typically require a high school diploma or GED and zero to three years of related experience or an equivalent combination. You will also possess: Reliability, organization, and attention to detail, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively, with moderate computer skills, including information processing, communicating internally and externally via email, and using business systems. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Product knowledge, with a strong understanding of our products and services. Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
