Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Associate to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a safe and respectful store environment. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with questions and recommendations, providing personalized support to ensure a positive shopping experience Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions Maintain security of cash and protect blithequark assets, adhering to company policies and procedures Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise, ensuring a neat and organized store environment Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required Strong organizational and communication skills are required Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive store culture Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
