Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every interaction with our customers is courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient. You will work closely with our pharmacists and other team members to provide exceptional patient care, process prescriptions, and maintain the overall operations of our pharmacy. Key Responsibilities Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides customers with efficient checkout service. Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommending items for sale and trade-up/companion items as appropriate. Maintains the cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records. Performs duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, and assisting with inventory management activities. Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. You should also be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. Additionally, you should have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications We prefer candidates with at least six months of experience in a retail environment, particularly in a pharmacy setting. Prior work experience with blithequark is also an asset. You should have good math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications, as well as good computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification are also preferred. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. Good computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems.
