Key Responsibilities As a US Senior Accountant at BooksTime, you will play a critical role in overseeing bookkeeping services for a set of clients, ensuring high-quality financial management and exceptional customer service. Your key responsibilities will include: Setting up services for new clients: You'll engage with clients, understand their needs, and coordinate a team of international bookkeepers to deliver high-quality services. Supervising ongoing services: You'll oversee and support bookkeepers as needed, ensuring seamless financial management for clients. Building trusted advisor relationships: You'll establish a personal rapport with clients, addressing their financial needs and concerns, and providing strategic guidance. Managing client expectations: You'll communicate effectively with clients, ensuring their needs are met, and their expectations are managed. Collaborating with bookkeepers: You'll work closely with a diverse team of bookkeepers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality services. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed as a US Senior Accountant at BooksTime, you'll need: Essential Qualifications Significant accounting experience: You've handled accounting for multiple companies, either in-house or in an accounting/bookkeeping firm. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks: You're proficient in QuickBooks Online or Desktop, with a strong understanding of its features and applications. Excellent organizational and time management skills: You're able to juggle multiple clients with different services, coordinating the work of a diverse team of bookkeepers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills: You're a "people person" who can establish a personal rapport with clients, handle difficult situations, and communicate effectively. Proficiency in English: You're perfectly fluent in English, both written and spoken. Tech-savviness: You're adept with computers, able to figure out new systems and tools, and proficient in Excel. Preferred Qualifications Degree in accounting or a related field: A degree in accounting or a similar field is preferred, although not strictly required. CPA or ProAdvisor certification: Being a CPA or ProAdvisor is a plus, although not required. Experience with other accounting software: Familiarity with other accounting software, such as Xero or NetSuite, is helpful. Management experience: Previous management experience is valuable, although not required.
