Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale software applications, tools, systems, and REST services using Object-Oriented Design and Java. Collaborate with project teams and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot open issues, bug fixes, and ensure on-time delivery. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence. Participate in the discovery phase of medium to large projects, partnering with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams to develop high-level designs. Troubleshoot business and production issues, gathering information, engaging support teams, and formulating action plans to resolve issues. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans, providing expert advice and guidance to others. Build relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and determine necessary processes and practices. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area, and 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related area. Alternatively, 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related area. Experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications using Object-Oriented Design and Java. Experience with data structures and algorithms, as well as optimizing software using algorithms. Experience owning full-stack software from hardware to UI and writing secure, stable, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly valued: A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area, and 1 year of experience in software engineering or a related area. Knowledge of accessibility best practices, including implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies. Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
