[Remote] Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for creating a strong sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and engaging potential customers to convert leads into sales opportunities. Responsibilities Source 65–75% of your pipeline via outbound prospecting Hit or exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline goals Book 8–12 qualified meetings per month Maintain CRM data accuracy above 90% Convert 20–30% of inbound leads into sales conversations Make 50–70 outbound calls and send 25–40 tailored emails daily Execute multi-touch prospecting campaigns Engage decision-makers with insight and confidence Partner with Marketing to drive event attendance and net-new opportunities Share feedback with leadership to improve process and training Skills Experience in a sales or BDR/SDR role with track record of hitting goals Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar CRMs Strong communication skills—especially by phone Objection-handling savvy and relationship-building instincts Analytical mindset and commitment to data-driven decisions Smarts & curiosity to understand our market and customers Coachability & work ethic to grow fast and stay resilient Proven responsibility, honesty, and a track record of showing up and delivering results Benefits Competitive compensation Great benefits Remote and flexible work hours Company Overview Descartes provides cloud-based logistics and supply chain management solutions to improve productivity for businesses.
