About the Role: Registered Nurse - Operating Room We're looking for a talented Registered Nurse - Operating Room to join our team on a 13-week travel assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in the operating room, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery. Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to promote optimal outcomes. Administer medications, perform vital sign checks, and monitor patients' conditions, reporting any concerns or changes to the healthcare team. Maintain a sterile and organized environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and performance metrics. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Current RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts or eligible for licensure. 2+ years of experience in an operating room setting, with a strong background in patient care and surgical procedures. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications preferred. National and state certification in Operating Room nursing, as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a travel or contract capacity, with flexibility to adapt to new environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other digital healthcare systems.
