Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the front and center of our patient-centric approach, interacting with our customers and developing strong patient relationships. You will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient and drug information into our pharmacy systems. Key Responsibilities Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions Develop strong relationships with patients and customers, and provide assistance with services and products Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a positive customer experience Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a unique and delightful customer experience Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring data is entered accurately, and filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow, and report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty Strictly adhere to arenaflex's policy regarding faithful dispensing across all applicable prescription dispensing activities Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required, and take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding products Handle phone calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians Process (correct and resubmit) manual claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). You must also have a strong foundation in math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. Additionally, you must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control. Preferred Qualifications While not required, we prefer candidates with six months of experience in a retail environment, previous work experience with arenaflex, and PTCB certification. We also prefer candidates with excellent math skills, computer skills, and knowledge of store inventory control. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must also be able to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a strong focus on patient safety.
