Job Summary The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate is responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, while providing support to the pharmacy team in their daily operations. This role involves registering sales, providing customer service, and assisting the pharmacist under direct supervision. Key Responsibilities Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers and offering assistance with products and services. Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Engages customers and patients by resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommending items for sale and trade-up and/or companion items. Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested, and processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records. Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and filling prescriptions. Reports prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment. Knowledge of pharmacy systems and operations. Certification in pharmacy technology or a related field. Experience with inventory management and control. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
