About the Role This position is an integral part of the Data Innovation Group within the Data Innovation Division at blithequark. As a Technician, IT Services, you will be responsible for providing technical support to employees across the organization, encompassing a wide range of IT services including hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals. Key Responsibilities Resolves and closes tickets/work orders related to end-user desktops and peripherals, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Responds to client care issues raised by the Helpdesk, providing expert assistance and resolving complex problems. Contributes to desktop projects, such as global installations and upgrades, as a project team member, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Remotely diagnoses and resolves demands using remote tools, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity. Investigates and collaborates with various departments to address system-related issues, fostering a culture of teamwork and problem-solving. Documents client interactions in the incident management system, including asset management, to maintain accurate records. Retrieves data from hard disk drives and performs data migration as needed, ensuring data integrity and availability. Supports remote access for virtual private network connectivity and remote/broadband network for workstations, ensuring secure and reliable connections. Installs and configures local and network-based printers, optimizing printing services. Performs preventive maintenance to minimize the risk of system failures and ensure operational efficiency. Works varied shifts, is available on-call, and travels as required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment. Follows management direction, adhering to IT policies and procedures, and performs other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications and Experience To succeed in this role, you will need: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience/training. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving various computer desktop software and hardware issues. Direct experience supporting workstations in a Windows/TCP/IP environment, with a strong understanding of networking protocols. Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly valued: A+ certification, demonstrating a foundational understanding of IT principles. MCSE/MCP or higher certifications, indicating advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft technologies. Previous IT infrastructure experience in an Aircraft/Airport environment, providing a unique understanding of the industry's specific challenges. Skills, Licenses, and Certificates The ideal candidate will possess: Comprehensive knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10. Familiarity with workflow and ticketing systems, enabling efficient issue tracking and resolution. Understanding of VPN connectivity and the ability to troubleshoot issues, ensuring secure remote access. The capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment, fostering a culture of cooperation. The physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs, demonstrating physical stamina for certain tasks.
