As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for assisting employees in all aspects of end-user computing, which includes software/hardware installations, upgrades, and overall maintenance of PC desktop/laptop systems and peripherals. Key Responsibilities Resolves and closes tickets/work orders supporting end-user desktops and peripherals Answers customer care issues raised from the Helpdesk Contributes to desktop projects (global installs/upgrades) as a project team member Remotely diagnoses and resolves requests using remote tools Investigates and collaborates with different departments to assist with system-related issues Documents customer interactions in incident management system including asset management Recovers data from hard disk drives or performs data migration Supports remote access for virtual private network connectivity as well as remote/broadband connectivity for workstations Installs and configures local and network-based printers Performs security support Works various shifts, on-call, and travel as required Follows management direction, adhering to IT policy and procedure Performs other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience/training 2 years of verifiable 'hands-on' IT work experience supporting and resolving various PC desktop software and hardware issues Firsthand experience supporting workstations in a Windows/TCPIP environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: A+ certification MCSE/MCP is an plus Past IT infrastructure experience in an airline/airport environment Skills, Licenses, and Certificates The ideal candidate will have: General knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10 Knowledge of workflow and with tagging systems Understanding of VPN connectivity and ability to troubleshoot issues Ability to work independently and act in a collaborative, team-based environment Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs What You'll Get At blithequark, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical benefits: On the very first day, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay well Wellness Programs: We want you to be your best self - that's why our wellness programs provide you with the right tools, resources, and support you need 401(k) Program: Available upon enrollment, and, depending on the workgroup, employer contributions to your 401(k) program are available after one year Additional Benefits: Other great benefits include our Employee Assistance Program, pet insurance, and discounts on hotels, cars, cruises, and more Be Yourself at blithequark From the teammates we hire to the customers we serve, inclusion and diversity are the foundation of the powerful workforce at blithequark.
