Job Overview The Customer Service Coordinator plays a vital role in providing excellent customer service to our passengers. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with clients in a polite, productive, friendly, and professional manner. Your primary responsibility will be to advance and sell air travel to the traveling public or cargo forwarders, while also providing assistance with passenger check-in and freight acceptance. You will interpret government regulations and requirements for domestic and international travel or freight shipments, ensuring compliance and safety. Key Responsibilities Advance and sell air travel to the traveling public or cargo forwarders Provide assistance with passenger check-in and freight acceptance Interpret government regulations and requirements for domestic and international travel or freight shipments Meet and dispatch aircraft within established times Provide support to distressed travelers and clients Safeguard company property and revenue Ensure safe travel practices Utilize organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited time frame Answer and assist during security and emergency situations Follow internal/external policies and procedures May be required to drive and operate air stairs to different types of aircraft to enplane and deplane passengers Responsible for the overall performance within the workspace and may be required to lead and direct the work of other employees May be required to perform Passenger Activity Control functions, including air-to-ground communication, along with Peak functions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Bilingual language skills may be required in certain locations Valid driver's license as required by local authorities Ability to pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable Ability to obtain proper airport authority or US Customs security badges, if applicable Capacity to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays Must be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in customer service or a related field Knowledge of air travel regulations and procedures Experience working in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent customer service skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Organizational and time management skills Ability to interpret and apply government regulations and procedures Basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
