Our senior team members are passionate about knowledge sharing and mentorship, and we're committed to creating a culture that celebrates information exchange and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** As a Full Stack Data Linguist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for: * Developing a deep understanding of data annotation rules and guidelines, as well as various annotation tools and techniques * Commenting on high-quality language data precisely within tight deadlines, adhering to established standards and guidelines * Participating in data creation, collection, and quality assurance initiatives * Conducting in-depth analysis of data to identify subjective error patterns and trends * Handling special data collection and analysis requests for various NLP/NLU applications * Collaborating with other ML Data Linguists to resolve data ambiguities and annotation conflicts * Providing feedback to Language Designers on annotation rules, tooling, and processes to drive improvements * Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce handling time and increase asset yield * Developing and maintaining a range of language resources critical for model development, including datasets for training and evaluation **About the Team** The computer-based intelligence Information Group at arenaflex is responsible for delivering top-notch annotated data and language resources to ensure the best performance of various AWS AI language services. These ML-based language services enable customers to quickly add intelligence to their business applications and AI systems, driving positive outcomes and business growth. **Essential Capabilities** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * A bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communication, Cognitive Science, or a related field, with a foundation in phonetics, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and/or speech analysis * At least six months of experience in natural language processing annotation and various types of data markup * Native or near-native proficiency in English (US) (CEFR C1 or above) * Excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail * Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic environment * Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities **Preferred Capabilities** While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable: * Ability to quickly learn new rules, technical concepts, and programming frameworks * Experience with command-line interfaces and basic Unix commands * Knowledge of natural language processing tools and techniques * Working knowledge of various file formats and markup languages (e.g., JSON, XML, HTML) * Familiarity with clinical terminology or experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting * Enthusiasm for language, semantics, human language technology, and artificial intelligence * Basic to intermediate programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, HTML, JavaScript **arenaflex is an Equal Opportunity Employer** arenaflex is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
