Your days will be filled with assessing data using SQL and Python, conducting in-depth data analysis and examination, designing complex charts and streams, and contributing to critical bookkeeping research and planning requirements. You'll have the opportunity to apply your current skills and develop new ones in a job that combines the best of data analysis and bookkeeping. **Key Responsibilities:** * Work cross-functionally with Technical Accounting, Financial Accounting, Design, Product, Finance, Audit, Legal, and other teams on processes, cycles, and projects, and assist with driving key system drives and enhancements * Create and plan comprehensive bookkeeping data requirements to work with the continuous automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and efficiency in financial processes * Lead functional improvement initiatives to further streamline income tasks and shorten the income close cycle * Screen data quality of journal entries prepared via the Income Subledger and plan Data Quality checks for identified use cases through bookkeeping requirements planning, special examinations, new product launches, etc. * Work with the Product and Design teams to continuously improve our daily Income Reconciliation process and oversee reconciliation investigation with the help of the analysis team * Review meetings and evaluate impact on existing or need for new bookkeeping requirements for the Income Subledger * Cross-collaborate with collaborating teams on journal entry streams for new or existing products for automation via the Income Subledger * Perform monthly income bookkeeping close liabilities, including but not limited to: GAAP income analysis, cost of income analysis, debt claims reconciliations, review journal entries, and audit close package expectations * Specialized examinations and projects as assigned **Why We're Excited About You:** * 3+ years of experience in financial bookkeeping, data analysis, and business intelligence * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Income Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS an plus * Transitional/high-level SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of conditional data, Python an plus * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing environments * Ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both within and remotely **About Our Culture** At blithequark, we're committed to supporting our colleagues' well-being, constitution, and overall prosperity by offering a comprehensive benefits package, including premium medical insurance, a 401(k) plan with a company match, short- and long-term disability insurance, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, paid time off, paid parental leave, and more. For jobs that are available to be filled remotely, base pay is capped by employee work location.
