Experienced Customer Technical Service Representative for Pet Food Division – Remote Technical Support and Customer Relationship Management

Job Overview We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Technical Service Representative (CTS) to join our Pet Food division. As a CTS, you will serve as the primary technical contact for our customers, providing process assistance, material support, and technical problem resolution to ensure the efficient runability of our products in customer facilities. Your expertise will be crucial in building strong relationships with our customers, troubleshooting issues, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities Act as a liaison between blithequark customers and manufacturing plants, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution Provide customers with process assistance, machine parameters, and technical support for our products Respond to customer requests for problem resolution, troubleshooting, and analyzing materials to identify root causes Collaborate with the sales team to respond to customer issues, manage relationships, and recommend alternative product options when authorized Document customer issues and resolutions, and request lab testing on samples to further identify material issues Test samples on blithequark equipment to identify additional opportunities for improvement Assist in determining product specifications for customer needs, and install, set up, and provide training on blithequark packaging equipment Perform general preventative maintenance, audit, troubleshoot, and repair blithequark packaging equipment as needed Travel up to 70% to customer sites, as required Perform other duties as assigned to support the growth and success of blithequark Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in packaging, engineering, or a related field, or comparable work experience in flexible packaging production or maintenance 5-10 years of experience in flexible packaging production/maintenance or packaging machine production/maintenance Strong knowledge of the flexible packaging process, from film production to packaging and shipping of finished products Computer skills, including report writing and Microsoft Office Troubleshooting skills, including packaging machine and flexible film interaction and mechanical issues Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in machine breakdowns and upset conditions Preferred Qualifications Experience in the flexible packaging industry, particularly in meat, cheese, or pet food packaging Previous experience in a manufacturing organization, with knowledge of printing and converting industry and equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
