**Experienced Customer Support Representative – Airport Operations Crew**

Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional service, and we are seeking like-minded individuals to join our crew. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for: * Checking in and confirming clients' identification * Labeling, lifting, and handling client baggage * Booking, selling, and checking flight reservations * Meeting and assisting with flight arrivals and departures * Planning airplane seating for takeoff * Facilitating client loading and unloading * Helping clients with special needs * Conforming to any special requests on a case-by-case basis * Reporting flight arrivals, departures, and pre-loading data through the public location framework * Speaking with clients to keep them informed and satisfied * Offering additional services to clients, such as "more speed" and "more space" * Coordinating tasks with colleagues and other departments to ensure proper treatment of clients * Assisting with planning airplane seating for client loading and takeoff, including cleaning of seats, seat-pockets, and floor * Operating airport equipment, such as client enplaning/deplaning equipment * Helping clients with special requirements, such as clients who need assistance with boarding * Performing and pivoting through all airport operations-related capabilities (gate, ticket counter, etc.) * Other tasks as assigned **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate * At least 18 years of age * One year of customer service or sales experience * Strong communication and listening skills * Complete familiarity with written and spoken English * Ability to pass a customer service evaluation * Ability to adhere to JetBlue Uniform Strategy Manual Principles * Willingness to travel and work variable hours, including weekends and holidays * Experience using a mouse, PC, keyboard, and basic word processing, email, and office applications * Ability to use handheld radios and receivers to communicate with tasks and make terminal announcements * Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) ID * Experience performing under pressure and within fixed time requirements * May be required to have and maintain a valid Driver's Permit and a driving record that meets JetBlue Aviation's safety guidelines * May be required to obtain and maintain a US Customs Permit * Available for occasional short-term travel (10%) * Legally qualified to work in the country in which the position is located * Approval to work in the US is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship * Pass a pre-employment drug test **Preferred Qualifications** * Two years of customer service, volunteer, or sales experience * Knowledge of customer service standards and practices * Experience working with different types of payment (cash, credit cards, traveler's checks, etc.) * Past carrier experience * Bilingual abilities **Crewmember Assumptions** * Regular attendance and reliability * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and short-term shifts * Willingness to make occasional trips to different areas for training or brief tasks * Ability to maintain a professional appearance * While working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and assuming time allows, all able Crewmembers are expected to assist with light cleaning of the airplane * Fit with the JetBlue culture, or at least, demonstrate the JetBlue values of Health, Mindfulness, Respect, Energy, and Fun * Advance JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Health Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Strategy, and social norms * Identify health or safety concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them as soon as possible and without hesitation, including JetBlue's private reporting systems (Aviation Health Activity Program (pronto) or Safety Activity Report (SAR)) * Comply with all relevant regulations, guidelines (FAA, OSHA, etc.) and Organization policies, procedures, and risk controls * Maintain JetBlue's safety performance metric objectives and understand how they relate to their responsibilities and obligations **Equipment** * PC and other office equipment * Public Location Framework * Fly bridge as well as air steps (Client enplaning/deplaning hardware) * Handheld radios * Unsupported PC booths used to recognize and deal with Client reservations * Light Emitting Diode (LED) screens and signs **Workplace** * Airport environment * Likely to climate and raised noise levels within airports * Ability to stand for a lengthy period * May be required to cover unpredictable tasks which occasionally cause extended work days **Physical Exertion** * Moderate physical exertion expected by handling items up to 50 pounds regularly or 70-100 pounds occasionally with the help of others or equipment. **Compensation** The base salary for this position begins at $15.00.
