Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every customer interaction is courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient. You will be the face of blithequark, providing exceptional service to our customers, answering questions, resolving issues, and making recommendations to drive sales and customer satisfaction. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging shopping environment that exceeds our customers' expectations. Key Responsibilities Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and blithequark service traits. Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommending items for sale and trade-up and/or companion items. Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records, checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader. Implements blithequark asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, completing resets and revisions as directed. Assists with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures, using the first in, first out method and restock outs for consumable items. Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products. Assumes web pick-up responsibilities, monitoring orders, filling orders, and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store. Assists with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, complying with all blithequark policies and procedures. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service. You should be a team player, with a positive and friendly attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. Additionally, you should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, it would be desirable if you have previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices. You should be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available to work a variety of shifts. Previous experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management would also be an asset.
