Job Summary As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless sales transactions, and maintaining the overall appearance and security of our store. Your primary objective will be to provide a great shopping experience for every customer, while working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized store environment. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with questions, recommendations, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner Manage sales transactions efficiently and accurately while working assigned cash register Maintain the security of cash and protect blithequark assets by following established procedures and protocols Keep the store well-stocked, recover merchandise, and receive new shipments in accordance with productivity standards Help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders by promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers to support the overall success of the store Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required Strong organizational and communication skills are required Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment Basic knowledge of inventory management and control procedures Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks Basic knowledge of inventory management and control procedures Ability to lift and move merchandise and equipment as required Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in transactions and inventory management Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
