Our commitment to innovation, strength, and stability has earned us a reputation as a trusted partner in the financial services industry. **About the OSGLI Customer Service Center** The OSGLI Customer Service Center is a critical component of blithequark's operations, handling all correspondence and phone calls to and from service members, veterans, and their families. As a Customer Service Professional, you will be responsible for explaining benefit coverage, documenting, and investigating complaints. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically will enable you to provide top-notch support to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide information to policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries on our life insurance products and services * Receive, evaluate, and answer customer inquiries, which may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures * Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, providing information, referrals, routine transactions, and troubleshooting * Answer product, account, policy, and service inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products and services through verbal and written communication * Assess customer needs and suggest alternative products or services to meet their requirements * Handle most calls and transactions independently, escalating calls properly when necessary * Demonstrate practical assimilation of blithequark's Leadership Competencies **Qualifications** * 1-3 years of directly related customer service experience and well-developed transaction processing experience * College degree or equivalent business/military experience preferred * Strong people skills with an ability to think like the customer * A passion for delivering top-quality service * Proven record of dependability, punctual, and reliable attendance is critical to the success of a fast-moving, inbound service center * Ability to learn and retain a significant amount of technical information in a relatively short period * Receptivity to detailed performance feedback * Proficiency with a keyboard and window-based applications, including the Internet * Proven self-motivation skills * Active listening skills * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to excel in a team environment, as well as work well independently * Excellent organization and prioritization skills **Training and Support** * Training will typically take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday * The OSGLI Customer Service Center is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday * To be considered, candidates must have the flexibility to work either of the two shifts (7:50 am - 3:50 pm or 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Eastern Time) within those hours * Actual shift assignments will not be determined prior to hire * Over-time may be mandatory during peak times **Remote Work Requirements** * Must be able to work from home with a reliable internet connection (at least 25 Mbps download speeds) * Must have a quiet area in your home with minimal distractions and noise-free * Must have a USB wired headset with a noise cancellation feature * Must have the capability to handle calls with a cell phone (with unlimited data and minutes) or a landline * Your personal phone number will not be identified to customers **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we believe in empowering our employees to expand their skills and experience.
