We are committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development for our employees. **Job Summary** As a Medical Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in assisting patients with resolving their Self-Pay balances by establishing payment plans, updating insurance coverage, and providing customer support. You will work in a fast-paced call center environment, adhering to standardized productivity goals and utilizing your excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve patient account balances. **Key Responsibilities** * Help patients understand financial responsibility in a helpful and non-threatening manner * Take inbound and make outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding balances * Meet or exceed established metric goals * Follow established procedures to resolve patient account balances, including: + Identifying consumer payment plans + Utilizing call scripts provided + Setting up consumer payments over the phone + Documenting all conversations electronically on company and/or client systems * Assist patients in determining eligibility for financial assistance programs and/or bank loans when applicable * Provide information to Client Services as needed * Understand and fully comply with all federal and state laws and regulations (HIPAA, Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse, etc.) regarding collections policies and procedures **Minimum Requirements** * High School Diploma or GED * Willingness to submit to a background check * Characterize high integrity * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** * Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment * Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance, and FDCPA * Experience with medical billing/claims processing * Proficient in PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel) * Time management and sound decision-making skills * Positive attitude and demonstration of teamwork * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills * Ability to provide excellent customer service in a variety of situations, including those that escalate * Strong attention to detail and data management skills **Work Environment and Schedule** * Remote work setting * Full-time (8-hour shift) * Monday - Friday * Must be available between 7:00-5:00 CST **Compensation and Benefits** * Competitive salary range of $15-$17 based on experience * Comprehensive Paid Training Program (3+ weeks) * Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance * HSA and FSA available * 401(K) plans with company match * PTO and Paid holidays * Employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability * Internal company growth * Steady work schedule **Why Join blithequark?** * Opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic industry * Comprehensive training program to ensure your success * Competitive salary and benefits package * Positive and supportive work environment * Steady work schedule and internal company growth opportunities * Chance to make a difference in the lives of patients and families **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for helping others, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at blithequark.
