**Experienced Customer Service Manager – Store Operations and Team Leadership**

As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing the skills of our sales associates. **Job Summary** As an Experienced Customer Service Manager – Store Operations and Team Leadership, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of sales associates and cashiers, while also driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our store manager and assistant managers to implement sales strategies, manage cash register operations, and maintain a clean and organized store environment. You will also be responsible for training and developing the skills of our sales associates, as well as participating in visual merchandising and inventory management activities. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead a high-performing team of sales associates and cashiers, providing coaching, guidance, and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance * Drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies, visual merchandising, and inventory management * Manage cash register operations, including supervising cashiers, monitoring sales transactions, and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures * Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management activities, including merchandise arrangement, visual displays, and space allocation * Train and develop the skills of sales associates, including register operations, customer service, and visual merchandising * Participate in store opening and closing procedures, including counting cash, managing inventory, and maintaining store security * Monitor and maintain a clean and organized store environment, including maintaining merchandise outposts and displays * Verify quantity, quality, and dollar value of merchandise received in the store, and evaluate pricing of goods according to established procedure * Determine the value and price of merchandise, including housewares, shoes, purses, books, and electronics, according to company pricing guidelines * Complete all reports and documents, including daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, and submit them to the store manager in a timely manner * Assist in the control of inventory and loss of merchandise due to errors, internal shrinkage, and shoplifting * Maintain security of all cash and store receipts, and take daily deposits to the bank as assigned by the store manager or assistant manager * Attend all in-service training sessions, including First Aid/CPR training, as scheduled * Perform all basic responsibilities common to all blithequark store management positions, including performing cash register transactions * Attend to any after-hours emergencies that occur in the store in the absence of the store manager * Address facility maintenance and security issues in the absence of the store manager * Monitor the proper use of store equipment to minimize need for repairs and replacement * Direct and perform housekeeping and recovery duties * In the absence of the store manager or assistant managers, follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations * Complete and submit any necessary forms and/or reports immediately, but no longer than 24 hours, when an incident occurs in the store * Maintain current certifications in First Aid and CPR, and administer First Aid and CPR as required **Other Responsibilities** * Answer the phone, relay information, and make store announcements * Move and maneuver shipping racks, shipping carts, small pieces of furniture, and electrical/mechanical appliances and small display fixtures * Perform light housekeeping duties as needed, including keeping the floor and fixtures cleared of discarded or fallen merchandise * Monitor dressing rooms and returns garments to proper display racks * Place inventory into stock in proper category by size and color * Pull merchandise by tag number for return to the processing plant * Accurately record the category and quantity on a merchandise return voucher * Other duties as assigned **Requirements** * High school diploma or equivalent * Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, proportions, and percentages * One year cashier experience, supervising experience helpful * Retail experience and visual merchandising skills a plus * Must have insured vehicle for store-related travel * Must have home or cell phone * Must be 21 years of age * Must have a valid state resident driver's license, with a good driving record * Must be eligible for positive outcome on required resident state criminal conviction background check * Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation, including current automobile insurance and license plates * Must maintain compliance with blithequark's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy * Goodwill considers this a safety-sensitive position because it includes tasks or duties that blithequark reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee or others **Physical Requirements** * Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, and seeing * Lifting, carrying: Medium work – Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. * Pushing/Pulling: Heavy work –
