Key Responsibilities Timely Issue Resolution : Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner, ensuring that patient concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently (50%). Workflow Management : Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately, ensuring that all patient interactions are well-documented and up-to-date (10%). Exceptional Customer Service : Ensure that all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately, providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines and fostering positive relationships with our patients (10%). Payment Transactions : Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance, ensuring that all financial interactions are handled accurately and efficiently (10%). Clerical Support : Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, and other administrative tasks, to support the smooth operation of our customer service team (10%). Supervisory Guidance : Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor to ensure that all responsibilities are carried out effectively and in accordance with company policies and procedures (10%). Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Essential Experience : 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of healthcare operations and customer service principles. Preferred Experience : 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience, showcasing advanced knowledge and skills in medical customer service, revenue cycle management, or a related field. Skills and Competencies To excel in this position, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent Communication Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with patients, internal stakeholders, and external partners via phone, email, and other communication channels. Customer Service Expertise : Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, resolving issues, and addressing patient concerns in a timely and professional manner. Medical Revenue Cycle Knowledge : Solid understanding of medical revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, and insurance claims. Technical Skills : Proficiency in workflow systems, telephony software, and other technical tools used in customer service and revenue cycle management.
