Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Crew Scheduler and Customer Care Representative to join our team at blithequark. This is a full-time remote work opportunity that will connect with the Head of Operations, Supervisor of System Operations Control, Director of System Operations Control, Chief Pilot, Head of Inflight, and other Crew Schedulers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis of current and future optimization of flight crew resources. If you have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all FAR Section 121 and FAR Section 117 crew scheduling requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate the values and culture of blithequark, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities Ensure efficient use of pilots as well as daily tracking of their participation. Provide excellent customer care and support to all crew members by handling all scheduling-related matters, including communicating correct approach, procedural, and regulatory information. Notify crew members of changes to their daily/monthly schedule changes; convey schedule changes to crew members in a timely manner. Ensure all crew member activities are in compliance with FAA-mandated Section 91, Section 121, Section 117 regulations and company policies. Continuously monitor and verify the integrity of the flight schedule by ensuring all sections have been assigned to a legal crew. Resolve flight crew legitimacy issues and lay requirements based on applicable regulatory and administrative requirements. Maintain essential communication with all crew members, flight control, and station personnel involved with crew scheduling. Process trip trades, trip drops, canceled calls, emergency leaves, and other daily schedule changes. Secure all necessary accommodations, including but not limited to hotel and deadhead flight booking. Ensure the use of reserve crew members in the most efficient and convenient strategy necessary to guarantee operational reliability. Ensure compliance with FARs, contract requirements, and departmental policies. Work closely with dispatchers to resolve issues and guide the efficient daily operation of the airline. Report on daily scheduling and department status. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Two years of experience in a customer support or airline job, or one year of crew scheduling experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on quality, tone, detail, and accuracy. PC proficiency in Microsoft Office products and general web applications. Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to exceptional professionalism. Ability to work under close time constraints and in high-stress situations effectively. Solid organizational skills and a capacity to simultaneously manage multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and as a vital part of a team. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Associate degree or higher. Experience in a client-facing role or customer support position. Knowledge of airline operations and crew scheduling software. Ability to speak multiple languages.
