About the Role We are seeking an experienced Airport Agent - Ramp and Customer Service professional to join our team at blithequark in Killeen, TX. As an Airport Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our flights, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our passengers. Key Responsibilities Guide and direct incoming and outgoing aircraft on the taxiway to ensure safe and on-time arrival and departure Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, cargo/freight, and company materials, with some items weighing up to 75 lbs Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts to support aircraft operations Collaborate with the internal team to ensure safe and on-time departure, and provide seamless check-in and ticketing experience for passengers Use reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and calculate and collect fees Communicate with passengers to provide information about their trips and belongings, and resolve issues in a timely and friendly manner Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including cleaning the interior of aircraft and servicing aircraft lavatories Work in the Baggage Service Office to track the location of baggage and handle passenger questions Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: Minimum age: 18 High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent Valid, unexpired, and unsuspended state driver's license Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, overnights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off Flexibility to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary Physical ability to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 75 lbs Ability to work outside in variable weather conditions Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear, polite, and friendly manner Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in the airline industry or a related field Knowledge of airline operations and procedures Experience with reservation/ticketing software Ability to speak multiple languages Previous customer service experience Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Physical ability to perform the demands of the job Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and protocols Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities Career Growth and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
