Adams St, Phoenix, AZ 85007) Duration: 7 Months (Contract) Hours: MondayFriday | 8 AM5 PM | 20 Hours/Week About the Role The State of Arizona is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support the Homes to Heroes initiative a statewide effort to end veteran homelessness. This role is ideal for a data professional who is passionate about using analytical skills to drive meaningful social change. Youll be responsible for collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing data related to veteran demographics, funding, and services to establish a baseline and forecast future resource needs. Your insights will help shape a comprehensive state plan to end veteran homelessness. Key Responsibilities • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (demographics, finances, and service-related datasets). • Perform statistical analyses to identify trends and forecast future needs. • Develop and communicate data-driven insights and projections to stakeholders. • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop actionable recommendations. • Attend all virtual team and individual meetings; occasional onsite meetings may be required. Required Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. • 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst. • Proficiency in statistical analysis, data cleaning, and visualization. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications • Military service experience or background working with veteran populations. • Understanding of challenges faced by homeless or at-risk veterans. • Experience presenting analytical findings and projections to diverse stakeholders. Working Conditions • Remote position (local Arizona candidates only). • Laptop and cell phone will be provided. • Must be available for occasional in-office stakeholder meetings if required.
