Assistant Project Manager

Sloan Security Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to assist Project Managers in overseeing projects from start to finish. The APM will coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to ensure successful project completion and proper close-out of projects. Responsibilities Requests for Information (RFIs) Project Submittals Procurement Document Control Project Scheduling and Planning Perform preliminary scheduling Review project plans & specifications Coordinate with Designers, as necessary Material submittals & procurement Coordinate labor force (schedules, locations, etc.) Coordinate equipment Submit Requests-For-Information (RFIs), as needed Monitor project conditions and submit Change Proposals (CPs) as needed Maintain change-order, submittal, RFI registries Submit documentation close-out per project specifications Meet with staff to discuss project performance Ensure warranty letters are in place, as needed Perform diversified duties Skills Advanced organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Computer, internet, and software knowledge and skills Communication skills via different means (phone, video conference, email, IM, etc.) Intermediate accounting, research, report development, and documentation skills Prioritization and multi-tasking between changing priorities Basic human resource management if personnel are supervised Basic knowledge of state/federal OSHA and other key regulations/compliance laws Basic purchasing, record keeping, and contract management knowledge Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in ProCore Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in Critical Path method Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in Cost Controls Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in interpreting plans and specifications Basic knowledge of Scheduling Software—MS Project Basic knowledge of manpower planning, interpersonal communication, and deployment (i.e., managing people) Basic knowledge of construction principles, methods, and practice Basic knowledge of OSHA30 certification Ability to travel up to 25%, as necessary Ability to obtain a passport and travel both domestically and internationally when needed Ability to stand, sit, walk, talk and listen Ability to use hands to touch, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Company Overview Sloan Security Group "We Design, Build and Maintain Perimeter Security."​ Sloan Security Group is an award-winning security construction contractor that both designs and constructs critical physical security systems.
