Caltrans is the California Department of Transportation, dedicated to providing a safe and reliable transportation network. They are seeking an Analyst II to provide administrative, training, and analytical support for the Workers' Compensation and Return-to-Work Program, managing cases related to employees with workers' compensation claims. Responsibilities Consulting with employees, supervisors, and managers regarding medical issues, reasonable accommodation, return to work, and other related concerns Coordinating with various stakeholders regarding assigned cases Reviewing and interpreting medical reports to determine the most appropriate course of action Maintaining accurate and complete case documentation using electronic daim files housed in a shared network drive, spread sheets, and database Evaluating, authorizing, and/or recommending claim settlement solutions Facilitating resolution of employment status for employees unable to return to work in their usual occupation Skills Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification Unofficial, original, or official sealed transcripts will be accepted and may be required upon appointment Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a transcript/degree U.S. equivalency report evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign coursework is equivalent Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below The SQQ must be typed, no more than one page in length, and 12-point Arial font How has your education and experience prepared you for the duties of this position?
