About the Role As a Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Verizon's compliance with state and local regulatory requirements. You'll be at the forefront of managing regulatory reporting, collaborating with legal and government affairs teams, and developing innovative solutions to streamline our processes. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home and spend assigned days in our remote office. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Reporting: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of required regulatory reports and ensure timely, accurate submissions to regulatory bodies. Bill Message Management: Track and manage bill messages required by regulators, overseeing related budgets and ensuring compliance. Regulatory Support: Collaborate with regulatory attorneys to handle formal and informal cases, complaints, and other regulatory matters across multiple states. Independent Analysis: Resolve multiple regulatory requirements independently, providing expert analysis and advice on compliance matters. Staying Ahead of Regulations: Continuously monitor state and local regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring Verizon's adherence and identifying areas for improvement. Product Portfolio Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Verizon's wireless and wireline product portfolio to inform compliance and reporting efforts. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline regulatory compliance processes, reduce burdens, and enhance workflow efficiency through the development of new tools and methodologies. Essential Qualifications Experience: Six or more years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, reporting, or risk management, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects in dynamic environments. Reporting Expertise: Experience in preparing formal reports for regulatory bodies, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Education: A degree in a relevant field such as law, business, or public policy. Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with government officials and internal stakeholders. Technological Adaptability: Comfort with leveraging new technologies and automation to enhance efficiency and compliance. Policy and Regulatory Knowledge: An interest in policy and politics, coupled with a general understanding of state and local regulatory law. Process Improvement: Experience with organizational reviews and process improvement initiatives, with a creative mindset for optimizing regulatory compliance processes.
