Scientific Illustrator Needed for University Press Book

Remote Full-time
I am preparing a scholarly book for a university press and need a designer to redraw 3 existing diagrams into a clean, consistent, publication-ready style. (1) a scientific schematic: an illustration of a bacterial injection system needle. I will provide reference photos. (2) a conceptual comparison diagram: a diagram comparing two models of scientific inquiry. I will provide a PowerPoint slide with the existing layout. (3) a linear process diagram: a boxes-and-arrows model. I will provide a PowerPoint slide. Per university press guidance, all figures must be black-and-white only, with no color or textures. All labels must be in 100% black. Files must be fully editable vector formats (AI, EPS, or SVG preferred). Line weights, arrows, and fonts must be consistent across all diagrams, and figures must remain legible when reduced to book page size. Style should be suitable for a scholarly monograph read by scientists. Deliverables: Final diagrams in AI, EPS, or SVG format, plus PNG or PDF previews. Timeline: First drafts by Tuesday, final versions by Thursday. Please apply only if you can meet this turnaround. Experience with academic, scientific, or technical diagrams and comfort translating rough slides into polished figures is important. Please include links to diagrammatic or schematic work (such as process diagrams, scientific figures, or conceptual models), confirmation that you have experience redrawing PowerPoint or academic figures, and confirmation of availability this week.
