Job Overview As a Medical Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in advocating for our members and serving as a liaison between our Health Plan and Providers. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our members have access to the care they need, while promoting education and resolving any systemic barriers that may limit their access to appropriate care. Key Responsibilities Act as a member advocate, responding to complaints and formal grievances, and identifying potential access barriers to resolve in accordance with our grievance procedure. Investigate and resolve access and cultural sensitivity issues identified by Member Services staff, State staff, providers, advocacy organizations, and recipients. Participate in local community organizations to gain knowledge and insight into the special healthcare needs of our members, updating and revising educational materials as necessary. Serve as the primary contact for member advocacy groups, human services agencies, and State entities, fostering strong relationships and collaborations. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. A strong understanding of healthcare systems, including Medicare and/or Medicaid (experience preferred). The ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a strong self-motivation and discipline.
