In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting and spearheading departmental people operations processes, resolving benefits-related requests and issues, and driving employee retention initiatives. You'll also assist in creating, refining, and executing actionable plans that align with federal and state regulations, as well as associated plan provisions. Key Responsibilities Benefits Administration: Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service within the HR department by responding to employee requests and questions through our ticketing portal. Benefits Reconciliation: Reconcile benefits statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. Audits and Compliance: Conduct audits of benefits or other HR programs and recommend corrective action to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Termination Processing: Assist with processing terminations within the company HRIS portal. Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks, such as making photocopies, mailing, scanning, and emailing documents, as well as preparing correspondence as requested. Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: 2+ Years of Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working in a high-growth start-up environment, preferably in an HR role, with a proven track record of handling multiple priorities and adapting to changing circumstances. Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels. Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. HR Knowledge: A working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google G Suite, a company HRIS (e.g., Paycom), and a company Applicant Tracking System (ATS), with the ability to learn new systems and technologies as needed. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: HR Certification: A certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI, demonstrating a commitment to the HR profession and a strong understanding of HR principles and practices. Experience with Benefits Administration: Experience with benefits administration, including health and welfare plans, demonstrating a strong understanding of benefits-related processes and procedures. Experience with HRIS and ATS: Experience working with HRIS and ATS systems, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR technology and the ability to leverage these systems to drive HR initiatives.
