About the Role: Key Responsibilities As a Ramp Agent, you'll play a vital role in our day-to-day operations, working closely with our team to ensure the timely and safe transport of cargo. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions. Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions. Safely operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas. Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Our work tasks can be repetitive and may involve bending, lifting, standing, and walking, often in challenging weather conditions. However, we're dedicated to practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all our operational processes and procedures. Scheduling and Compensation Scheduling at blithequark is based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. As a Ramp Agent, you'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. We're offering a competitive starting pay of $16.55 per hour, with regular pay increases over the next 10.5 years. What You Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications To join our team as a Ramp Agent, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications: Consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data. Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. Hold a valid driver's license. Be proficient in English. Pass a physical ability test (PAT). Wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high visibility safety apparel.
