The Role As a Pathology Transcriptionist I, you will be responsible for transcribing medical dictation into accurate and high-quality reports, supporting our pathologists, pathologists' assistants, and laboratory departments. Your duties will include: Transcription : Perform accurate transcription of recorded medical dictation into designated report formats. Administrative Tasks : Complete assigned administrative tasks, such as inventory control, equipment maintenance, and receptionist duties. Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer service to pathologists, pathologists' assistants, hospital staff, and clients. Communication : Support cross-departmental partnerships and communication among team members. Meetings and Committees : Attend and participate in scheduled department and committee meetings as assigned. Other Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed as a Pathology Transcriptionist I, you will need: Education : Completion of a medical transcription program with certificate eligibility or one year of experience in medical dictation transcription. Medical Terminology : Training in medical terminology. High School Diploma or GED : A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical Skills : Proficiency in computer software and hardware, including transcription equipment and software. Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in transcription. Schedule and Work Environment This is a remote position, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, and on-call rotations on Saturdays and holidays. For training purposes, you will be required to attend in-person sessions at the Center for Diagnostic Pathology (CDP) located at 2855 N. Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32804.
