We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part-time SAT/ACT & Academic Coach to join our Naperville and Lisle locations. Key Responsibilities Work directly with students as an Interactive Coach, teaching up to three students at a time at different levels Follow GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies to deliver high-quality instruction Maintain accurate records by filling in post-lesson notes and communicating with coordinating staff Complete daily student communication updates to keep parents and staff informed Provide a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a positive and engaging learning environment Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need to meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field (college students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered) Teaching certification is an asset, but not required Strong knowledge of the current 9th to 12th grade math and science curriculum Excellent English grades and strong written and oral communication skills Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time SAT/ACT tutoring experience, with own grades in the 90th percentile (or recent valid score report) Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching/tutoring math at a 9th to 12th grade (or equivalent) level Comfortable teaching advanced functions, calculus, and data management, in addition to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and chemistry AP level experience is a plus What We Offer As a Part-time SAT/ACT & Academic Coach at GradePower Learning, you'll enjoy: A competitive hourly rate of $18-$26 Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development Frequent check-ins and feedback to support your growth Company growth opportunities and hands-on development of your teaching skills Fun staff events and a dynamic work environment Health, dental, retirement, and PTO benefits Work Schedule and Environment This is an in-person position, requiring availability to work during after-school and evening hours (2:00pm - 8:00pm), as well as Saturdays (8:00am - 4:00pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. You'll be working at one of our two locations: Naperville, IL (3075 Book Rd, Suite 119) or Lisle, IL (6454 College Rd).
