The Material Cost Analyst is responsible for implementing and managing material costs (including favorable purchase price variances) at the plant. • Work with Global Purchasing Team to supply timely information, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure that purchase orders are placed at agreed upon price for commodity quotes. • Report out on Material Pricing measures, including PPV and commodity quote tracking progress. • Work with accounting department to determine material costs for re-quoting existing assemblies. • Work with Materials Manager, Buyers, Suppliers and Finance Team to find PPV. • Assist plant Purchasing Team with sourcing as needed • Assist plant quote cell with sourcing as needed • Assist with customer contract pricing as required • Lead/Assist with special projects • Participate in Supplier Business Reviews by providing supplier feedback solicited from buyers • Perform project material requotes and profit reviews Interpersonal Skills • Embrace teamwork as well as individual work • Sense of humor • Patience / Positive Attitude • Problem solving • Interacting with all levels of organization and contacts outside of KEJ • Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
