L3Harris Communication Systems is seeking an experienced Lead Program Manager to join our Land Mobile Radio (LMR) implementation team in the Public Safety and Private Communications (PSPC) sector. As a Lead Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of LMR systems to our local government customers. Job Summary As a Lead Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of LMR systems to our local government customers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, factory technicians, and financial analysis, to drive project success. Key Responsibilities As a Lead Program Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Scope Management : Interpreting contracts and maintaining the scope baseline to ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations. Schedule Management : Building and maintaining project schedules using MS Project to ensure timely project delivery. Cost Management : Working with Excel spreadsheets and a program financial analyst to forecast spend and control costs. Risk Management : Identifying risks, determining financial exposure, and developing plans to mitigate risks using a risk register. Change Management : Recognizing and documenting potential changes in a Change Log and driving Change Orders that are profitable to the business. Communication Management : Providing excellent verbal and written communication to both outward-facing (customer) and inward-facing (internal team) stakeholders. Action and Issue Management : Using an action/issue register to drive internal and external team meetings to keep progress moving forward. Technical Acumen : Applying prior communications background or learning the basics of our radio infrastructure and radio products. Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of prior experience, or a Graduate Degree with 7 years of prior experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. 7 years of experience in successfully implementing large-scale LMR or similar communication systems. Preferred Additional Skills We also prefer candidates with: Proficient use of MS Project Scheduling and other MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills . MS/MBA (Masters) degree . PMP Certification .
