As a Lead Scheduler, you will play a critical role in executing the global scheduling strategy for Disney+, working closely with various teams to bring the best-in-class storytelling to fans and families worldwide. About Disney's Direct to Consumer (DTC) Team Disney's DTC team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. Our team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service. What You Will Do As a Lead Scheduler, you will support the Disney+ Scheduling team daily by executing the global scheduling strategy for the platform. Your responsibilities will include: Scheduling on-service live events, lean-back channels, and promotional assets on Disney+ : Collaborate with programming and operational teams to ensure seamless execution of live events, SVOD programming, lean-back programming, and promotional assets. Developing and reviewing reports for daily auditing of schedules and data reconciliation processes : Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in daily auditing and data reconciliation processes. Acting as back-up scheduler for US, Canada, and Global Originals : Provide support and coverage for scheduling teams as needed. Representing Disney+ Global Scheduling in meetings : Collaborate with various teams, including Content Planning, Live Operations, Distribution Operations, and Platform Operations. Handling ad hoc requests and deliverables : Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, demonstrating a solution-oriented mindset and enthusiasm. Key Responsibilities As a Lead Scheduler, you will be responsible for: Executing the global scheduling strategy for Disney+, working closely with various teams. Collaborating with programming and operational teams to ensure seamless execution of live events, SVOD programming, lean-back programming, and promotional assets. Developing and reviewing reports for daily auditing of schedules and data reconciliation processes. Acting as back-up scheduler for US, Canada, and Global Originals. Representing Disney+ Global Scheduling in meetings with a professional and enthusiastic attitude. Handling ad hoc requests and deliverables, demonstrating a solution-oriented mindset and enthusiasm. Essential Qualifications & Skills To succeed as a Lead Scheduler, you will need: Minimum of 3 years of experience in program scheduling or a related field : Proven experience in scheduling, preferably in live events, linear TV, or SVOD. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) : Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams and matrixed organizations. Diplomatic with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in teams and matrixed organizations : Strong emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit. Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy : High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to finding solutions. Proactive and self-sufficient in finding solutions and acquiring new skills : Ability to work independently, with a growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning. Preferred Qualifications We prefer candidates with: Familiarity with live operations : Experience in live operations, preferably in scheduling or a related field. Proficient in utilizing scheduling software, including Mediagenix WHATS'ON and Content Scheduler : Experience with scheduling software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems. Education A Bachelor's degree in media, Communications, TV Production, or a related field is required. Compensation and Benefits The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $78,200 to $104,800 per year . The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits , dependent on the level and position offered.
