As a Lead UX Product Designer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the digital experience for Target's guests, team members, and partners. Job Summary As a Lead UX Product Designer – Emerging Experiences, your mission is to deliver best-in-class digital shopping experiences for our guests by leveraging and developing frameworks for UX sprints and delivering both functional proof of concepts and in-market launches. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional peers and leaders to drive success. Key Responsibilities Develop and contribute to UX strategy and vision for product experiences across digital platforms – influencing investment, collaborations, and the balance of new vs. iteration Lead UX sprints for discovery, co-creation, future-visioning, and functional proof of concept delivery for emerging experiences in partnership with product, engineering, and other cross-functional peers and leaders Investigate new opportunities using both qualitative and quantitative research methods and deliver artifacts leveraging design strategy and service design methods – such as journey maps, service design blueprints, and storyboards Align internal stakeholders, accelerate experimentation, and enable innovation more rapidly while scaling UX learnings and best-practices across teams Create deliverables representative of both exploratory and go-to-market design phases – such as wireframes, user flows, UI design, and prototypes Guide design process and mentor junior designers Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and service design Advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams Build a network of relationships to enable your vision in service of our guest experience and Target as a whole Requirements Essential Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a senior or lead product designer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product and service design work Expert skills in UX, product, and service design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process Advanced expertise in design strategy and service design methods (i.e., co-creation sprints) Advanced proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma) Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set direction and communicate approach Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to explain design recommendations to non-design stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and human-centered design principles Skills and Competencies Strategic problem-solving and systems thinking Collaboration and leadership skills Human-centered design thinking and service design Data-driven decision-making and communication Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Target, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills.
