About the Role The Insurance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team and coordinating insurance-related documentation for staffing medical professionals. This position requires a diverse skill set, strong organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills. As a remote worker, you will be expected to be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Key Responsibilities Assist in handling certificate of insurance (COI) requests, patient compensation fund (PCF) enrollment requests, and malpractice verifications. Maintain all insurance policies and related documents, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information. Support the insurance renewal process, preparing necessary documents and reports as directed. Provide administrative support to the ERM Team, including organizing, maintaining, and tracking documents and project deadlines. Track and report figures for ERM team monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Assist in creating, drafting, editing, and proofreading business presentations and internal training documents. Handle office tasks, such as opening mail, filing, mailings, data entry, photocopying, and scanning. Process all invoices for the ERM team, acting as the primary point of contact for billing issues or inquiries from insurance brokers. Act as a liaison between internal sales consultants, internal support departments, external insurance brokers, external providers, and external clients. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Strong critical thinking, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, prioritization skills, and attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a focus on phone skills. Proficient computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to articulate information and concepts convincingly. Capacity to learn processes and implement improvements. Experience working with a variety of personality styles in a professional environment. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Previous experience in insurance or a related field. Familiarity with healthcare staffing or medical malpractice insurance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
