What this role gives you • Exposure most HR Admins never get: work with multiple clients across industries and stages of growth. • Build credibility fast: onsite with clients multiple days per week, representing HR Value Partners professionally. • Learn how HR decisions connect to business realities: support HR Generalists and Consultants, participate in audits, onboarding, compliance work, recruiting support, and client projects. • A clear path forward: experience base to develop into an HR Generalist or more senior role over time. How your work actually looks day-to-day • Most Mondays and Fridays are remote • Most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are onsite with clients • Clients are within a two-hour driving radius of Mount Pleasant, WI • Some weeks you drive a lot, some weeks very little • It is normal for multiple clients to reach out in the same day • HRIS and payroll system updates (not processing payroll) • Recruiting coordination and system updates • Project tracking, reporting, and follow-through • Client communication and follow-up • Various administrative tasks • You are expected to move quickly, stay organized, and keep things accurate without being micromanaged What you need to enjoy (or at least accept) • Driving to client sites up to three days per week • Switching between different HRIS, payroll, and ATS systems • Managing multiple priorities without constant direction • Being the calm, professional presence when clients have questions or need help • Having full days. This role is busy by design. What usually frustrates people (and why it is still worth it) The commute is the biggest challenge. Some client sites are close, others are farther away. If driving feels like wasted time to you, this will not be a fit. The tradeoff is that: • Your experience curve accelerates. You gain more exposure, confidence, and professional judgment here than most HR Admin roles provide. • You normally work from home two days per week. What helps you succeed here • Strong attention to detail and consistency • Ability to complete routine administrative work quickly and accurately • Comfort learning and using multiple HRIS and payroll systems • Professional presence and confidence with all levels of an organization • Strong work ethic and self-motivation • Clear, professional written and verbal communication A degree in HR, Business, or a related field and prior HR administrative experience are helpful.
