Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate dance lessons for various skill levels, incorporating a range of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary. Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop their technical abilities. Motivate and inspire young dancers to push beyond their comfort zones and achieve their artistic goals. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during class hours, adhering to our strict safety protocols and guidelines. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress, upcoming events, and performance opportunities. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our dance programs, curriculum, and policies to provide exceptional instruction and support. Essential Qualifications Proven experience as a dance instructor or in teaching dance to youth, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality dance programs. In-depth knowledge of various dance styles and techniques suitable for children aged 5 to 13, with the ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with young students, parents, and guardians. Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and learning styles. A passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a love of dance in young people. Preferred Qualifications CPR and First Aid certification, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. Experience with choreographing and staging dance performances for young dancers. Knowledge of dance education principles and methodologies, such as the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) standards.
