Key Responsibilities Teach swimming skills to children and adults in a group setting, with a focus on individualized instruction and skill development. Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of each student. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, adhering to our program's safety protocols and guidelines. Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive and engaging learning experience. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and best practices. Essential Qualifications A minimum of two years' experience in group childcare, teaching, or coaching. Willingness to obtain CPR, first aid, and lifesaving certifications within the first six months of employment. Availability to work Monday-Friday 2:00pm-7:00pm and at least one weekend day 9:00am-2:00pm. Passion for teaching and a strong ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience teaching swimming or working with children in a aquatic setting. Certifications in swimming instruction, such as those offered by the American Red Cross or YMCA. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Skills and Competencies Excellent teaching and communication skills. Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing circumstances and student needs.
