About the Role We are seeking an experienced and skilled Supervisor Electronic Health Information to join our Health Information Management team. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse and talented team, overseeing the management and supervision of Health Information Management department functions across all Baptist Health facilities. The successful candidate will supervise between 15 and 30 full-time employees in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, focusing on quality and productivity to meet Health Information Management performance standards. As a key member of our team, you will serve as the primary source of support for the Health System, which includes 8 Acute Care Hospitals, over 50 Baptist Outpatient Centers, and all Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation of our Health Information Management functions, including the use and disclosure of health information, analysis of clinical documentation, record retrieval and document imaging, MPI, and TJC activities. Key Responsibilities Assist in the management and supervision of Health Information Management department functions to ensure efficient operation across all Baptist Health facilities Supervise a team of 15-30 full-time employees, focusing on quality and productivity to meet Health Information Management performance standards Serve as the primary source of support for the Health System, including 8 Acute Care Hospitals, over 50 Baptist Outpatient Centers, and all Ambulatory Surgical Centers Develop and implement strategies to improve quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction in Health Information Management Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of Health Information Management functions Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve Health Information Management operations Essential Qualifications Associate's degree in Health Information Management or a related field Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA) certificate preferred At least three years of supervisory experience in a large healthcare institution Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and personnel management skills Knowledgeable in health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field Additional certifications or specialized training in Health Information Management Experience working in a remote or virtual environment Familiarity with electronic health record systems and health information exchange Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Baptist Health South Florida, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range for this position, from $54,322.45 to $70,619.19 per year, depending on experience.
