Job Summary The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing large-scale data architectures and pipelines to organize, collect, and normalize data that produces insights and addresses reporting needs. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, excellent programming skills, and experience with cloud-based platforms. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on SQL, Python, and data modeling. Key Responsibilities Design and develop large-scale data architectures and pipelines to organize, collect, and normalize data that produces insights and addresses reporting needs. Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytical processing. Collaborate with the data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into digital processes. Work with data in Cloud, Hadoop, and experience designing and optimizing queries to build data pipelines. Utilize strong programming skills in Python or other major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Build data warehouses and data models to support Data Science and other internal clients, incorporating data from various sources and ensuring adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current data technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to determine the optimal solution given the requirements directed by the model/use case. Required Qualifications 5+ years of relevant work experience in Data Engineering. 5+ years of experience with SQL. 5+ years of experience with Python. Experience with Cloud-based platforms (GCP preferred, AWS, or Azure). Strong Communication, Analytical Reasoning, and Problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark. Experience with Reporting (Tableau). Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus.
