Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to policyholders and interested third parties via inbound calls. Your primary focus will be on explaining policy coverage, claim status, and assisting with claim payments or other policy information. You will utilize multiple systems to ensure that all inquiries and issues are handled promptly and professionally, with a strong emphasis on first contact resolution and high customer satisfaction. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to maintain adherence to defined operational standards, including attendance, utilization, call quality, and other key performance indicators. Primary Responsibilities Handle a high volume of inbound calls, with a daily target of 70-120 calls, in a fast-paced call center environment Provide heavy phone contact with policyholders, providers, and interested third parties, ensuring that all customer needs are met on every interaction Review and maintain new and revised procedures regarding policy information, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and updates Ensure customer needs are met on every interaction, whether via phone, email, written correspondence, or other channels Maintain department standards for the number of calls, average handle time, and time management, consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: 1+ years of work experience in a high-volume contact center environment, with additional experience in a receptionist role or a position that involves taking calls on a daily basis 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or equivalent Remote experience is strongly preferred but not required Reliable internet connection with a minimum upload and download speed of 20 Mbps, and a hard-wired connection A smartphone to access VPN Insurance industry experience is considered a plus but not a requirement A fire extinguisher is required for safety reasons, and you must be willing to obtain one if you don't already have it A quiet and professional workplace, with basic computer knowledge and skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a minimum typing requirement of 30 words per minute Proficient use of a computer, keyboard functions, and Microsoft Office Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills Location and Schedule This is a remote position, with the opportunity to work from home nationwide (excluding certain states). You will need to have open availability Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm CST. After completing a 2-3 week training program, you will be assigned to a 40-hour workweek, with a Monday through Friday schedule and no weekend shifts unless overtime is presented.
